What watch game you rock? Here are my PERSONAL criteria.
1) Watch must have Pedigree. Old name, steeped in tradition, heritage and finery. Study, research. (If the only name that pops in your head is "Rolex", you ain't up on your watch game)
2) Must be all Swiss Made or at the least have a Swiss Movement.
3) Must have 44mm diameter. Will rock 40mm or 42mm if backed into a corner.
4)
No little trendy hip hoppy iced out watches. ("No chrome on the wheels, I'm a
grown man for real…")
5) Automatic movement. Quartz only if I'm boxed in,
and have to go for dolo like that.
6) Will pay $ 0 - $4000.00 Over that, sheeeit, I'll let the ballers ball. F' that. What they think this is? Snow Beach?
7) Never pay retail!
So, with that in mind, in my time, I've owned;
- Baume et Mercier Capeland Chronograph ( the HEAVIEST and $$$ I've ever owned. Net example pic.)
- Oris XXL 44mm Chronograph (net example pic. Fly pic, dude is livin' that.)
- Oris XXL 44mm World Timer
(mine, album cover pic)
- Oris XXL 44mm Black Pointer Day Date (mine, album cover pic)
- Oris XXL 44mm White Pointer Day Dates (obviously my pic. owned 2)
- Zodiac 42mm Desert Hawk (net example pic)
Edit! Forgot about my Swiss Army Ambassador XL
Mechanical (43mm). I honestly have forgotten how many joints I've rocked and flipped.
-Various and sundry other knick knack watches.
Obviously, some pics are mine, some I had to rip from the
net right quick for example purposes only.
What watch game YOU rock? Let's see your criteria and how YOU get down. Timex to Rolex, let's see
some HOTNESS! To each his own.
