I recently took a trip to Vegas with my boo, I spent more than I wanted to over a few days, but I had mad fun. We stayed at the Belagio, nice place located in the center of the strip. Good points include the fountains, buffet, and the fact that you are walking distance to a lot of the other casinos, bad points include price and the fact that everything extra, gym use and any service is overpriced. As for entertainment, military discounts exist on mad shows, including all the cirque-du-solei, I saw two with wifey. Food, ah, all the reasonably priced spots don't have good food, and only a couple of the more baller type spots have ill menus and wine lists, the seafood spot at the MGM was probably one of my favorites. There are fun rides at the New York Casino (roller coaster) and the Stratosphere (three at the top of a Seattle Space Needle looking building). As far as gambling, the poker room at the MGM Grand and the roulet table at Osheas (one of the bumiest casinos on the strip). All the casinos have free live entertainment after dark. Don't rent a car, take a shuttle from the airport to the casino for like $6 per person, take a cab back to the airport for like $15. Take the bus that runs up and down the strip, there are deals on unlimited ride 24 hour passes and unlimited ride 3 day passes. At the end of a week after a couple of shows, meals, rides, and gambling I was out enough, but it was worth it, no penny pinching in Vegas.
